Ancestral Futurities: Encounters with Heritage in Contemporary Dance and Choreographic Practices

This symposium explores how artists engage with cultural heritage, dance practices, and rituals connected to ancestrality through theoretical and methodological perspectives. It examines how ancestral knowledge is activated, transmitted, and transformed, to expand and challenge the dominant dance canons.
